Directions from Lihue Airport to Hale Luana

5142 Hoona Road (Off of Lawai Road)

Upon exiting Lihue Airport, go straight through the first stop sign (Intersection Kapule Highway).  Proceed on Highway 570 into the city of Lihue. At the main stoplight in town, turn left onto Highway 50-56.  Follow signs that lead to Poipu Beach.  

Proceed on Highway 50 for about seven plus miles.  Turn left onto Highway 520.

You will pass through a tunnel of trees.  After coming out of the tree tunnel and dropping down onto a level area, you will see a sign that says POIPU and an arrow pointing left.  Please ignore that sign. 

Continue straight on HI 520 until you reach the main street of Koloa.  Upon entering the town of Koloa, make a right turn at the stop sign on Koloa Road and proceed one block.

Take your first left at Chevron station onto Poipu Road.

Proceed towards the ocean on Poipu Road about two miles. 

 As you approach the Poipu area, watch for a large sign, "Welcome to Poipu", carved in stone wall.   Bear right on to Lawai Road.  

Continue on Lawai Road for a block and a half.  The second left turn off of Lawai Road is Hoona Road. 

Proceed on Hoona Road down the hill –about two blocks - to where the road levels out.

On your left (the beach side) you will see a six foot lava rock wall with purple bougainvillea. You may see a white rental sign over the garage door –  VIP Rentals - Pacific Ocean Properties.  The street address, 5142, is on the mailbox.
